Chemical Peels

Chemical peels remove damaged outer layers of skin on the face to smooth texture, reduce scarring, and remove blemishes to produce healthy, glowing skin.

Alpha hydroxy acids or AHAs are the gentlest of the chemical peels. They consist of a group of glycolic, lactic and fruit acids that smooth and brighten skin by treating fine wrinkles, dryness, uneven pigmentation and acne; treatment takes 10 minutes or less.

In an AHA peel, the skin is cleaned and the solution applied; there is no need for "after-peel" ointment or covering.

After the Procedure
AHA peels can cause temporary stinging, redness, irritation and flaking or crusting. All procedures require adequate sun protection for your new skin.

Dysport®

Dysport is an FDA-approved injection treatment that reduces the appearances of fine lines and wrinkles by relaxing facial muscles in the forehead, around the eyes and mouth. Similar to BOTOX® Cosmetic, Dysport is injected directly into the site of wrinkles to prevent the underlying muscles from contracting. However, Dysport can diffuse into muscles one to three centimeters from the injection point, while Botox can only reach as far as one centimeter, allowing for more widespread results with fewer injections. In addition to treating fine lines and wrinkles, Dysport can also be used to relieve excessive underarm sweating.

The Dysport® Procedure

The Dysport injections are administered directly into the facial muscles that cause frown lines and other wrinkles. These injections are generally painless and do not require anesthesia, although a numbing agent may be used to help minimize any discomfort from the injection for patients who are anxious about the procedure. Treatment sessions usually take less than 15 minutes, and can be administered at six week intervals. Most patients achieve their desired results within three to five injections.

Dysport Results

The results of the Dysport injection are visible within one to seven days after treatment, with most patients seeing results on day three. Dysport is broken down slowly by the body and can provide results that last as long as 1 year.
